or Difficulties in Coping with Life

Music Therapy is available for people of all ages who may be experiencing stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, loss, or difficulties in coping with life. Specializing in this area is Registered Music Therapist and private practitioner, Rebecca Reyna (Registration Number: 748).

Music therapy is an allied health profession. It is the planned and creative use of music to attain, maintain and progress the physical, emotional, cognitive and social needs of people of all ages. For more information, visit the Australian Music Therapy Association (AMTA) website.

Music Therapy is available for people of all ages (children/ adolescence/ adults/ older adults) who may be experiencing stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, loss, or difficulties in coping with life. Music therapy is beneficial in many ways, such as for reducing anxiety and stress and for encouraging relaxation, improving mood state, providing coping strategies, encouraging self-understanding, communication, and emotional expression, and empowerment and validation. Music therapy sessions aim to achieve these benefits through music therapy methods such as music and relaxation, music and guided meditation, Guided Imagery through Music (GIM), songwriting, verbal therapy, resource-oriented music therapy, song listening and lyric discussion, playing known songs on musical instruments, music and drawing, song parody, and improvisation on instruments.
